Food & Agriculture Technology
Resilient and traceable food supply chains are the key to accessible nutrition. This is especially true for Asia, where the population is expected to increase by 250 million by 2030. It will be home to half the world’s population, with only one-fifth of the world’s agricultural land.
There is a need for the food and agriculture sector to be more productive, without depleting natural resources. At the same time, consumers are increasingly seeking out healthier and sustainable food options. The whole food supply chain has a role to play in tackling this global challenge, from farmers to corporates to consumers. Technology can then increase both the quantity and quality of food available, improving the sustainability of food production.
LEVEL3 aims to shape the Food & AgriTech pillar for startups to help increase agricultural efficiency, increase access to nutritious food and create sustainable food chains.
