The Next Generation of Advertising

Ads delivered to our mobile devices no longer fit the paradigm of how we use them today. The way we interact with our devices has changed from the passive viewing of yesteryear's screens. In this mobile age, it is all about touch, swipe, gesture. Every day, we utilise haptic feedback and gyroscopes without a second thought, and we glance at our phones hundreds of times a day. It is our first screen, and in many cases, our only screen.

We are using more senses than before, but creative advertising has yet to tap into this fundamental behaviour. The focus has always been on identifying who the consumer is, without consideration for the consumer's response to real life interactions. In this session, we will explore how advertising is preparing its revolution of brilliant sensory ads and what this means for the future.
